Wow!! A missionary....my daughter?!!
So we've been having a revival meeting at our church and God has broke up alot of fallow ground in our hearts and in so many others. Our Pastor's son was saved during chapel service this morning and I was so happy for him. He does so much for all the other children of the church, loving them and counseling them and begging God's protection over them and then to see God touch and save one of our Pastor's own children was just awesome! But then tonight, my daughter who has been troubled for 2 weeks saying "I know God wants me to tell others Momma!" well, she has just surrendered to the mission field. And what's more shocking is she already has a burden on her heart!!!! Right now it's Europe! She has struggled with this since back in January when we had our mission conference but didn't really like the whole idea of leaving Mommy and Daddy and who knows what other scary things she might face but thank God she didn't run too long. And now she's happy as a lark.
Now, as parents, we are being as careful as we can be. We do feel God will provide the husband with the same burden but we dare not let our small scope of things and unanswered questions dampen the fire that the Holy Spirit lit in Sara's heart. God will take care of everything.

Do I believe a child can really know specifics and God call them at a young age? Well, I guess a better question is, do I believe the Bible? Do I believe the story of young Samuel saying, " Here am I Lord", and the 8 year old king, Josiah, who reigned righteously, and the lad with five loaves and two fishes who said, "Lord, here's my basket!" and was instrumental in feeding thousands, and wait there's more, do I believe Jesus was teaching in temple at 12? Absolutely!!!!!! God forbid I underestimate God's ability to speak to children specifically about their life and use them in a mighty way. So John and I pray a protective hedge around her life and the grace and mercy we both need to be the example to our little missionary that we really need to be for her and to give her the tools she needs to be the best missionary she can be. She's already been giving out two tracts a day and that's more than I can say for myself sometimes. I thank God for our church, our Pastor and his vision for the young people and for having Bro.Norris in to preach to us. To God be the glory great things He hath done!
