Off to Competition

Well, I teach piano, 14 students and love it. Anyway, some of my students are going to Master Club Regionals to compete in several different events today and one of them is piano.

Let me start with saying these children are already winners in my eyes.
They have reached heights they never thought they would, they haven't given up and they are better now then they've ever been. They are just going to show the judges the winners they already are.
However, a little healthy competition aids in excelling one forward quicker so I'm all for it.

I gave them everything I had, and they gave me everything they had and more......that they didn't even know they had!!! Which is why I like recitals and competition.

It's 12:53 in the morning and I'm praying for each one, individually, to give their all. A little secret,  I'm nervous for them....just a bit.....o.k. o.k. ALOT!!! :) It's their first time competing in a piano event!!
But like I told my daughter Sara, if God gets the glory, we've done our part!!!  In the end, He's all that matters :)                                                Results are In!!!

YEAH!!! Aili won 1st place Level 1 Piano
She did not have one single mistake and had the best dynamics.

And Hannah won 1st place Level 2 Piano.
All God!!
Long story short, there wasn't anymore openings for Level 1 but in Level 2 there was but I was nervous because it's too high for her. However,  Hannah wanted to compete and we knew that so we gave it all we had and God blessed. The other more advanced pieces lacked in every way except difficulty and it wasn't enough to pull them through. Where as we focused on every single aspect on the judges sheet, except difficulty, hoping those numbers would be high enough to compensate for the simpler piece she would be playing and I believe it worked and God blessed.

Abbie won second place Level 1 Piano!! Yes!
She's only had lessons for one year!!! I'm super excited!
She actually tied for first and the judge broke it and gave her second.I'm still thrilled for her.

One more student is not shown here...no picture of her yet.
