First one-
Gnat trap using apple cider vinegar and saran wrap with little, holes made on top using a toothpick. Two hours later, there is about five gnats on top and three dead in the vinegar. I was concerned my kitchen would stink like vinegar but it does NOT!!!! Yeah!!! Needless to say, we've got a cup in almost every room now.
The cup below was left out over night and I counted 12 the next morning.
Second-
$3.00 "Lazy Susan" using cake pans and marbles to organize spices with.
Turns like a champ and you don't have to worry about bearings going out or the wheels tearing up.
I used pie pans with a shorter edge for the smaller spice jars so I could see the labels still.
natural, super cheap carpet cleaner using baking soda and vinegar.
I'm impressed.
Sprinkled some baking soda over area and then drizzled a bit of vinegar. It will bubble up but that's ok.
And last but definitely not least- (my absolute favorite for almost two years now) body scrub that works better than anything I've ever used in my life to slouff (is that a word?) off dead skin cells and leave your skin feeling amazingly soft. Now I used the palm sugar this time but normally I use raw cane but both gave me the exact same results. Recipe:
2 cups raw cane sugar
1/2 cup liquid coconut oil
1 tbsp vanilla extract
3 tbsp monoi tiki Tahitian oil( I order off amazon)
Give all this a good stir and keep it in a glass apothecary jar and you're done!!! This recipe last me about 8 weeks.
That's all folks!! Until the next time, I'm always trying all-natural, dirt cheap solutions for classic household issues.
A tip for the Super Mans out there:
talking about solutions for household issues (uh-hem) maybe the wife's not feeling her normal, "perfect" self you know and love, once a year it might happen ( wink) a classic oldie but goodie tip to help with that- flowers!!!!
They are a beautiful way to practically say anything you need them to. It sure put a smile on this girl's face.
