Someone asked me, " What in the world is in your bag?" I said, " The world!" Just joking. But actually my family's world is.... anything they might need on the go.... is in it. I carry the bag. But don't most Moms? Well, anyway I actually found a way to keep this " very important" bag in order most of the time. I rarely have to resort to " the dump" anymore ( which was like once a week at one point ) and anyone with a purse knows what " the dump" means :)
The art brush bag!!!! Woo !!! Ok, I'll calm down.
..the bag that goes inside the bag. I bought this at Hobby Lobby and have been testing it out for about a year. I love how it keeps my purse under control. I was that person who had to just dump everything out to find a pen ( judge me, I don't even care, cause it's all different now) So no matter how I tried it would end up looking like a land fill inside my purse!!! I was sick and tired of being sick and tired and searched for a solution that worked for me (emphasis on the "for me" this might not work for your purse.)
Ok so, this is just a paint brush organizer and with all these little pockets, it's perfect for keeping everything from sloshing all around in your bag and "a place for everything and everything in its place" is easily achieved. Am I a control freak? No but I'm trying, hee hee! Ok next........
I'm slipping it in my bag, I've got tissues, lotion, Chapstick, that pink pouch is my pen pouch so I'm never digging around for one, sanitizer, a few hair bands, mints, oh and peppermint oil spray for lots of things, anyway......you don't care but I just wanted to point out how much I do carry and it all stays put.
In the center of this artist brush bag is only 3 things because I don't want to spend 20 minutes getting to my wallet every time I need it. So......
Planner, wallet and notebook. That's it.
And in the back pouch of my purse, I keep my emergency kit.
In it is Tylenol, cough drops, band aids, a portable toothbrush and I usually keep a flosser or two in here as well but I used them up recently and oh, my sons allergy medicine if he has a bout while we are out somewhere (which thankfully since I cut his gluten back, its like he doesn't ever need it hardly).
And that's a wrap on the purse situation.
I like seeing solutions that work for others so thought I'd share one of mine. In all of Internet Land, there's someone, somewhere I guarantee it, carrying a good-size bag that is at that same point I was, there's hope!!! Hope this helps:)
Tootles.
