She screams, he screams, they all scream for S-K-A-T-I-N-G!!! Lots of fun, especially on a hot and humid day, also we went during the day because we would rather not have the disco environment and the bigger crowd that comes with it.
Kidskatefree.com offers free skating to kids up to age 11 for the summer. The skate rental is $2.50 (if you don't have your own skates) also check the times your local skating rink allows the program kids to come skate. It's different every day and at every place. There are only certain skating rinks that participate, so the newest and best might not be on the list of choices. But considering it is almost free and less than 25 minutes away, whose picky?
What's nice about this skating rink is while the kids skate, parents (who don't want to skate) can still play too because the game area is right over the wall, next to the rink so you can keep eyes on your children while shootin' the breeze.
A little secret (he doesn't advertise this ) but the hubs is a pool shark. His game is pretty fierce. I got like one shot the first game and then he put away every ball till' it was game over.
Yes, the lights are off on the rink they are playing a game, every now and then they'll ask if you want to play a game or something. I believe this was something corners but don't quote me on that.
(Please don't judge John as showy here, he really does shoot like that sometimes cause there's no other angle and he did make this shot)
He's trying to give me some pointers. I'm like "Q-less" when it comes to pool, I love to play though so maybe over time, I mean I can't get any worse...I hope....I think.....
If you know pool, you know what he is about do here and what I'm not about to do :(
Fun afternoon and boy was it nice and cool in there!!!!
