Although our hearts were heavy as a dear saint, Bro.Pennywell had passed away the day before we left, we did get to talk with his wife before we left that night and she said Bro. Pennywell would have went with us! And that's very true, he loved Campmeeting and he was a faithful witness everywhere he went, even in the Assisted Living home he was still witnessing. Before we held services there he would go from room to room trying to get people to come on to the service. We will miss you Bro.Pennywell. That's him in the passengers seat, all the way up to his last days going to the Lords house :)
And let me add, that's his godly, faithful wife sitting behind him. She's a gem. They say behind every good man stands a great women. I've learned so much from her in 15mn that would take me years to learn on my own probably.
Well...........
When we got to Campmeeting, we realized that God had messages prepared just for us, dealing with specific situations that had just occurred recently that no one else knew about (except our Pastor) and that's exactly where we needed to be. Just message after message not to back up, not to give in, not to quit standing for whats right. And then seeing old friends who are also still standing, still sticking by the stuff, still being faithful, it's so encouraging.
Bro. Alfred Willis- how Satan was in the prescence of God and left unchanged. So there can also be people in the prescence of God in a service and some our gonna walk out, unmoved, unstirred and unchanged.
Heard the most thorough, in depth message on bitterness I've ever heard. Let's just say, he "dug in the wall" if you will and then another on the hedge and not letting gaps in it. I want to be more circumspect over my children than I ever have and more of a watchman on the wall than I ever have. Stand in the gap for your children, for America, for each other!
And God did a work.......
I love campmeeting but I need it too.
Just at our favorite restaurant.
Surprised her, she didn't even know I was coming.
One of the sweetest ladies you will ever meet.
Sara's pen pals. Hannah's picture turned out black and blurry but she should be here too.
Still asked me to bring Johnny back to marry her but it's not time yet.
Found these rogues in back of the church ;)
Jasmine loves that man of God eating the popcorn.
She's studying him in the picture.
Her face says it all......
Hangin with my buds.
One happy Momma Saturday, Gods good.
Love this girl....she is so grown up, I told her she is a "little women".
This is really one of the most important reasons we attend every meeting we can, our children. It's so important to make sure our batteries stay charged up and in tune for our children's sake and for those coming up behind us who maybe aren't our children but are watching us, maybe we can be a Bro. Pennywell for someone else one day. Faithful till the end.
Great meeting!
