"Pins and Cushions"

                                                                               

                                                                             

Lord have mercy on me!! I'm still excited for my 2 teenage piano students who placed at A.C.E Regionals!!!and this happened like two weeks ago!!! One placed second and one 4th.!! Thank you God!!

I feel bad for my Pastor's ear :) because when I received the call from him that a certain student placed 4th...um.. I got a tad bit excited....o.k. o.k. ALOT EXCITED!!!

I kinda thought one would definetly place but the other drew a little blank during performance so I wasn't sure how stiff the competition was or how the judges would deliberate. Anyway,without realizing whose ear I was still in,  when I heard the BLESSED NEWS!!! ! I kept shouting, "I'm so happy!!! I'm so happy!!! thank God I'm so happy!" It was pure joy. I smiled so hard that whole night, my cheeks started hurting!! But both of them placed, one received 2nd place and one 4th place. They did it!!

Long story short both of these students have only been with me about a year.

We worked hard until we were sure that we had everything perfect and they could have played it with their feet!!! 


So on the day of, it was all down to nerves, well, during performance one drew a blank (which I've done myself) but he picked up and finished and the other had a few hiccups as well but his recovery was good so needless to say, because the judges were not telling us anything until a few days later, I was on major pins and needles.* (remember that term, it's important)

Well, God blessed both of their efforts and answered our church's prayers and allowed one to get 2nd and one to get 4th place.  I'm so impressed by these boys, they went for it and they got it!!

 Anyway, I was so thrilled with their success, I couldn't event talk right!!

 I said so enthusiastically,"Oh, thank you!! Thank you so much for calling me and letting me know, I've been on pins and cushions( not pins and needles) for two days!!!".........

Yeah...... I'm a mixed up gal in more ways than one...pray for me. And just leave the blonde moments to me, I got this, right?.......wait....don't answer that, or at least try to be nice when you do or I'll report you for bullying.
