Fall 2015 bits and pieces for the journal.

A lot to be thankful for. Not to mention we live in the greatest country, the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Fair for our birthdays

Homeschooling:) Johnny reading aloud. He loves Froggy books.

The picture below was taken this month after one of the darkest days of physical pain in my life but you get back up and you push for those you love and say "God it's not much, it's frail but please take it and use it." And that's when you see you are the strongest, at your weakest,  because it's His strength alone and nothing else. I'm sharing this not for sympathy....it's over now anyway but I think transparency helps people. It's not all butterflies and roses for any of us and  don't you think if our children, the next generation, saw this side (although not always pretty) and how God gives grace through it.....when they get out on their own they'll know how to properly handle adversity and won't go into shock when life hands them lemon after lemon. Just saying I want my kids to know God is just as good in the valley as He is on the mountain. He's still cares about me just as much in the dark times as he does on the sunny days, with not a cloud in the sky. And it doesn't always mean you've sinned, sometimes it's God refining You, or its a thorn in your flesh to keep you humble or it could be pulling out the dross and making you better quality. Whatever it is, I tell my children, He's a gentle Shepherd and we can trust Him.

Week later...... Went to visit a prayer warrior (in my opinion)  in the home. I wanted to be a blessing but instead came away with one.

Fall clean-up inside and out.

Next we need to power wash!!!

None of our children are perfect but if I see they genuinely are trying to do right and make mistakes while trying, I'm not going to be too critical of that. How bout yall?? It's when they don't care, they say what they want to, when they want to and don't care about the consequences that is when daddy and I start to come down on them (harder than anyone else ever could I might add). It's our job. And then we start to see change and growth and that's jus life. "Reproofs of instruction  are the way of life." That's what the book says.

Anyway, but on a good note!! Jasmine just led her girlfriend next door to the Lord!!! All three of my girls have been talking to this neighbor friend about Jesus for a year now but she just didn't understand why she needed Him. But the light came on about a week ago when Jasmine popped the question and  Praise the Lord she went running home telling her Momma, "I'm saved, "I'm saved!!  A few months before that Jasmine led another girl to the Lord, 10 years old, who only comes over to our house every here and there and has come to church with us a few times. I'm excited for her, she's really been battling some discouraging things lately and this has really put a pep in her step.  This neighbor of ours is telling everybody she got saved!! Oh, and yes we talked with both of these girls, both are ten years old but we did talk with them right after the fact and then we went to their parents just to kind of follow up. But praise the Lord !!! Just goes to show you, you don't need to have the Romans road memorized or know where the Pentatuch is in the Bible to witness, these girls just had a burden for their friends and shared what God has done for them, they read or quoted John 3:16 and Romans 3:23 along with their own testimony time after time and God used it!

Gutters Clean out.

We are getting the house power- washed soon but hey!...... after all the rain, we might not need it!  The field across from the house is harvested and that's what we've been waiting on, otherwise the junk from the tractors while harvesting, blows all over the place and just makes the house dirty again. But hopefully, we will get it as good as new again :)

Of course you know....had to give an honorable mention here ;)

Gluten-Free Pumpkin Pancakes
