"Cool Beans" is places I've been I think are pretty neat and/or recipes I've tried concerning coffee that I think are pretty yummy as well as coffee misc.funnies. So this page is all about cool, neat, funny, yummy and neat, and cool and did I say yummy?

Banner Elk Cafe is one of my favorite "Cool Beans" places in the east coast.

When we stop by, we usually just get a lovely brew of some sort and

 hot cocoa for the kiddos but we have tried the food and it is also great...MEGA BURGERS!!

No lie.MASSIVE BURGERS.

I'm not sure if the Indian artifacts everywhere has anything to do with

why we love this place ; )

Very nice atmosphere and a real robust flavor in their latte's 

but without the bitter after taste.

 If you're ever down by the N.C. coast, 

you'll be glad I recommend it to you. 

If coffee isn't your thing, 

you might want to try the fruit smoothies.

 So I took a "quarter rest" at a nice little coffee cabin while in the Raleigh, N.C. area. They brew organic beans. The coffee was very clean, fresh, from the mountains, good. If you are ever that way give them a try. I'd say, all around, they are 50 cents cheaper than Starbucks on any drink and with a much smoother, cleaner taste. So, if organic coffee has you curious, give it a whirl :)

I haven't been doing much "on the road coffee" lately, however, I've been popping into this Joe Muggs place every here and there inside of Books-A-Million and I have come to the conclusion they are better in my opinion then Starbucks. Besides, I'm getting a little tired of Starbucks political outbursts and silly comments so I've pretty much walked away from them for the time being. Anyway, Books-A-Million is a much more quiet atmosphere and their coffee is easier on my stomach too for some reason. So go try it out :)
